When I was growing up, I always wanted to be a stay at home mom, but I had no idea everything that comes with that title. It’s a job, a hard job, and I am by no means perfect or know all the answers. In fact, every day I make countless mistakes.

Every day I fell deeper into mommyhood and I found myself discouraged and losing my identity.  So, I started searching for moms who were in similar situations. That gave me the idea and desire to start this blog. I wanted to share my story and the chaos of our everyday life in hopes of connecting with other moms just trying to survive. Hopefully, this blog will help you realize that you are most definitely not alone and maybe give you a few laughs along the way.

I will be sharing affordable fashion tips for us stay at home moms! I found it so difficult to look put together when the kids are screaming and I’ve used dry shampoo one to many times this week so I’m doing the leg work for all of us! I’ll post budget friendly fashion tips and tricks that keep us moms stylish with minimal effort required.

Homeschooling is a huge part of our life right now and since I blog about what I know and am learning, I will be posting lots of home school information! While we were researching about home schooling I was scouring blog after blog trying to find curriculum reviews, methods, room inspiration, and just anything I could get my hands on so I’m hoping to share the wealth. I’ll be passing along what I’ve learned and what I wish I knew when we were getting started! You can learn right along with me!

Why wait for a new year to get healthy! I decided once we got moved into our new house and settled in, that I was reclaiming my health and fitness. I had let motherhood take over and my health take a back seat. I realized that if I’m not healthy then I can’t be there for my kids in the ways that they deserve! It was actually selfish of me to not take care of myself so follow me in my fitness journey. I’ll post workouts, healthy recipes, ways to get in workouts with kiddos, and budget friendly healthy recipes that the whole family will love!

I. love. to. cook! I’m the Pinterest queen when it comes to searching for new family friendly recipes to try and then tweaking them to fit our family needs at the time. For example, finding a new pot roast recipe to try that I can make in under 30 min using the instant pot or changing the ingredients to make it a little more healthy but still something the kids will eat. I hope to share all of the goodness from our kitchen with all of you all!

Kids clothes are kind of an obsession with me. Like a lot of moms, I’m always spending money on my kids clothes instead of my own. With a budding fashionista in the house and a mom who loves kids clothes and a good deal, I’ll be posting kids fashion finds a few times a month with guests posts from my daughter and other moms!

When we moved I not only made my health and fitness a priority but also my personal development. I wanted the kids to see that you’re never done learning and growing as a person. There is always room for improvement. I hope to provide book recommendations, podcasts, and topics/guest posts for learning and growing. For those of you that want to learn, I’ll be posting information and resources for starting/developing a blog, becoming a brand, photography, writing, and other entrepreneurial skills that I have had to learn the hard way!

As the kids finally started getting older, we started traveling more and taking romantic getaways occasionally. Also being military, I’ve become sort of an expert at traveling cross country with kids and dogs in tow. I’ll post travel tips, reviews, and inspirations for every time in your life. Family vacations, romantic getaways, weekend trips, birthday trips, whole family excursions, dog friendly accommodations, etc…I’ve got you covered!

Occasionally my husband will pop in for the husband edition! There he’ll give the husbands perspective on kids, marriage, infertility, personal development, military life, and so much more! He’s a talented man that has so much great information to share with you all!

As I mentioned above, my husband and I battled with infertility for the entirety of our marriage. With that brings so many unique challenges and emotions. It is a part of our story that I am happy to be putting behind us at this point but still thankful for the experiences  we went through together. The whole ordeal taught us a lot about ourselves and our marriage. I hope to share all of the knowledge that we picked up along the way because at one point in my life, blogs were what gave me hope that one day we’d have the family I’d so desperately dreamed of.

I have a love hate relationship with my hair. The grass is always greener, right? I have thick, coarse, and unruly curly hair which is currently shorter than I’d like due to some unfortunate stylist decisions on my part! I am constantly trying out new products and styling techniques to see what works the best and whats a bunch of BS. I plan on passing along every single hit and miss along the way! I’ll give you the good, the bad, and the ugly for the products, styling tools, and techniques that I try! Since I can only give you my perspective on curly hair and curly hair gone straight, I will have frequent guest posts from others with different hair types! There will be something for everyone here!

I’m so excited to share with you all of our home decor style! I feel like I have such a unique set of skills in turning a rental home into a home home. We made the decision as a family that we weren’t going to purchase another home until we were done moving every 2-3 years due to the military. We are also very lucky and that we have lived so many different places that we came to love, we haven’t decided where we want to call “Home” yet. So until that time comes, we are homing up the houses we rent with affordable tips and tricks that I’m going to share with you all!

This is our beautiful, messy, chaotic life….enjoy!
